Canadian Country Music Week will kick off today (9/10) in Vancouver, BC with a “New Artist Showcase” at the Congwriter’s Cafe. This year’s performers include Shane Chisolm, Jaida Dreyer and Darren McGinnis.
Friday’s (9/11) activities include a keynote address by Nettwerk Music CEO Terry McBride, the Class of 2009 induction for the Canadian Country Music Hall of Honour and the All Star Band Awards.
On Saturday(9/12), the industry brunch & awards and the 2009 FanFest will be held, featuring appearances by Johnny Reid, Jessie Farrell, Aaron Prittchett, Doc Walker, Terri Clark and more.
The week wraps up on Sunday(9/13) with the CCMA Awards, Great Guitar Pull and the Gospel Showcase. The CCMA Awards will kick off at 4p (PT) at GM Place and will be broadcast live on CBC-TV. Presenters and performers include Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Doc Walker, Dean Brody, Emerson Drive and more.
