Brad Paisley’s 2012 Tour Name Gets A New Look.

Brad Paisley announced last Fall that his 2012 world tour would bear the name The Camobunga! 2012 World Tour. After getting together with his band and doing a few rehearsals though, he has decided that he needed a different title for the designs he had sketched and the experience he wants his fans to have.

“When I saw the visuals and how exciting and sometimes mind-blowing they were I just felt the tour name needed to reflect what the fans were going to see. For two hours each night of the tour they can be taken away from reality – literally.” -Brad Paisley

So, the new tour title is now the Brad Paisley Virtual Reality World Tour 2012. It’s definitely a change from the original title, and after hearing his comments, I am super curious. Paisley is know for putting on amazing concerts, and I have no doubt this will be a great one.

All other aspects of the tour remain the same. No dates have been changed, and it is still sponsored by Chevy. Also, The Band Perry and Scotty McCreery are still joining Paisley.

See below to find tour dates near you and links to ticket info!

HaleighT’s Recap Of The 2011 CMT Artists Of The Year Show!

Last night was the presentation of the CMT Artists Of The Year Awards, hosted by Rob Lowe. The honorees were Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean, Taylor Swift and Brad Paisley. The recipients were chosen based off of sales, radio airplay, concert grosses and activity on cmt.com.

Each artist was given a section of the 90 minute show that was dedicated to them with a performance, congratulatory words by others and a short acceptance speech.

Kenny Chesney had the special treat to have Gavin Degraw perform his hit “Somewhere With You“, where he did a fantastic job! A part of the show that ranks very high on my list was when Matthew McConaughey had a video message for Chesney that was too cute!

Lady Antebellum received kind words from many including their good friend Miranda Lambert and performed their brand new single “Dancin’ Away With My Heart.” It sounded great and by the reactions of Taylor Swift and the rest of the audience (including me at home), it looks like this will be another chart topper for them!

Jason Aldean performed his current single “Tattoos On This Town” and spoke of how this year was kind of a risk, but he was glad he did things on his terms. He wasn’t concerned about what people were telling him to do, he followed his gut and boy did it pay off! Nobody puts Jason in a corner!

Viewers were treated to a special treat with an energetic performance by The Avett Brothers. A band that is quite possibly one of the most cross-genre groups around (we aren’t quite sure what they are…folk, rock, indie, Americana, who knows)!

Taylor Swift also had someone else perform one of her songs, but this performance had a bit of a twist. The All American Rejects gave us their take on “Mean” while throwing in a little bit of their own hit “Gives You Hell!” It was great! She accepted her award from her good friend and fellow female country artist, Faith Hill.

Brad Paisley wrapped the night up for us, first by saying that Country Music was the best industry to be in because everyone was so nice and then by collaborating with Joe Walsh on “Camouflage!”

It was a great night for everyone, wish I could have been there! Congratulations again to all five of the talented acts!

Brad Paisley Uses His Voice To Support A-T Children’s Project.

Brad Paisley has a new song available, but this new song, “Hard Life“, is anything but average. It was written by a young man from Springfield, VA named Joe Kindregan who has A-T or ataxia-telangiectasia, a rare, fatal genetic disease that combines the symptoms of cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, immune deficiencies and cancer. Brad and Joe met a fundraising benefit in 2005, and have maintained contact over the years.

Joe was inspired to write this song when his friend Brian lost his battle with the same disease. Joe wanted to put into lyrics the struggle of living with such a disease, both the good and bad aspects. He drew from his own experiences and from interviewing others who also have A-T. Joe wrote his thoughts and shared them Paisley who decided to run with the project. Kindregan had the opportunity to visit Nashville twice to see the behind the scenes work of taking his lyrics and making a song out of them.

“I’ve known Joe for several years and he is one of my favorite people. His disease is physically debilitating but obviously creatively and mentally Joe has such tremendous depth. It’s an honor for me to be the person to give voice to his creativity and cause.” -Brad Paisley

The song is available through all digital media outlets (or by , and all of the artist royalties from U.S. digital single sales will be donated to the non-profit A-T Children’s Project. This is a not for profit organization that supports and coordinates biomedical research, scientific conferences and a clinical center with the goal of finding life-improving therapies and eventually a cure for A-T.

I don’t know about y’all but I am VERY excited for their always clever opening jokes! This entertaining year has definitely given them plenty of material to work with!

Here is one of the first of many CMA commercials to come!

Brad Paisley Announces The Camobunga! 2012 World Tour!

Brad Paisley recently wrapped up his 2011 Tour, and he is wasting zero time getting back out on the road again! Paisley has officially announced his The Camobunga! 2012 World Tour. This tour is sponsored by Chevy and will kick-off on January 12th in Grand Rapids, MI. See the list below for a complete itinerary of dates and locations!

Now, the title of this tour is just a little strange, and luckily, Brad has provided a some information to explain the origin of this name. Apparently, it is the combination of “camouflage” and “cowabunga” (I’m sure you probably figured that out). Please see the complete definition and origin provided by Paisley below!

Definition
Camobunga :n; : //kam,bunga/ – The name of a live musical tour experience. A mind blowing blend of country, fiery 60’s surf guitar acrobatics, futuristic special effects, retro heart and soul, and mind altering liquid beverages. The spirit of the deep woods meets the breakneck excitement of the California coast.

Origin
camouflage – N: /kamfläZH/ -fabric w/ splotches of green, brown, black & tan, meant to make the wearer of this pattern hard to distinguish from the background;(or possibly stand out as a redneck).
cowabunga (exclamation): Originated as a greeting by Chief Thunderthud on the 50’s cowboy puppet tv program “The Howdy Doody Show”, was later adopted by surfers in the 60’s.

Paisley will be joined on tour by The Band Perry and Scotty McCreery.
