The Waylon Jennings tribute album, The Music Inside: A Collaboration Dedicated to Waylon Jennings, Volume II will be available February 7th.

Volume I, released February 2011, included artists like Jamey Johnson, Alabama, Randy Houser, Sunny Sweeney, Kris Kristofferson and Trace Adkins as well as members of the Jennings clan, Shooter and Jessi Colter, not to mention one track sing by Waylon himself.

The line-up of artists participating on Volume II is no less impressive. The ten tracks include Montgomery Gentry, Hank Williams Jr., Dierks Bentley, Justin Moore, Colt Ford and Jewel. There is also a bonus track from newbie Wyatt McCubbin. Jessi Colter is again making an appearance, this time singing a song she penned titled, “Mama“. For a complete track listing, see below.

Fans can expect to see a third compilation in this series to release as well.

Some of country’s most popular artists are performing at the White House! In a special event, Country Music: In Performance at the White House, hosted by President Obama and Mrs. Obama, these country artists, inlcuding, Dierks Bentley, Lauren Alaina, Lyle Lovett, Alison Krauss, The Band Perry, Kris Kristofferson, Darius Rucker, James Taylor and Capital Records newcomer Mickey, come together to celebrate the rich history of country music which has evolved with America through the years. These performers pay tribute to country music, and some of its most iconic figures through music of their own as well as classic hits.

The event was taped Monday, November 21st and will air on PBS on Wednesday, November 23rd at 8pm ET. You can find a complete list of the songs and performers below. I have to say the two performances which interest me the most are Alison Krauss’ rendition of “When You Say Nothing At All” and Dierks Bentley and Lauren Alaina teaming up to sing “Always On My Mind“.

Dierks Bentley has announced that his sixth studio album, Home, will release February 7th, 2012. The album title shares its name with Bentley’s current and popular single. This concept of “home” and its meaning clearly have a special hold on Dierks.

“My home is in Nashville with my family, my home is on the road with our fans and my home is definitely in country music…This album is more than a year’s worth of writing, recording and testing out material on the road in front of our hard core fans. The end result is an album that runs through all the types of country songs and sounds I enjoy singing and playing.” -Dierks Bentley

Also on this album, you can find his hit track “Am I The Only One“. Dierks will be celebrating the album release with a special performance at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on February 2nd. Tickets will be available for purchase on Friday, November 18th at 10am CT.

The 6th Annual Miles & Music for Kids hosted by Dierks Bentley is taking place on October 16th! This charity event is an hour long motorcycle ride that includes a live performance at the end of the road! The ride will start at the Harley-Davidson of Columbia, wind through the back roads of Tennessee, and end in downtown Nashville.

After this uninterrupted journey through Tennessee back roads, Bentley will be joined by Eli Young Band, Josh Thompson and Colt Ford at the Riverfront Park for a live performance!

Bentley has opted to expand the benefit to include other cities besides Nashville, like Chicago, Phoenix, Atlanta, Seattle and others. All the proceeds raised in each are donated to the children’s hospital in that area. For Nashville this hospital is the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Tickets include the ride, concert and a T-shirt and run for $50. For those who only wish to attend the concert, tickets are $20. All tickets are available through Ticketmaster.

Dierks Bentley and Little Big Town have been added to the performance line-up of the 2011 CMA Music Festival TV Special, better known as “Country’s Night to Rock!“. They are joining an already impressive line-up which includes Lauren Alaina, Jason Aldean, Sara Evans, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Scotty McCreery, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Reba, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, and Zac Brown!

The show will air on ABC on August 7th at 8pm (ET). The special includes footage filmed during this year’s CMA Music Festival in Nashville, TN during June 9th and June 12th in addition to the performances listed above.
