That gives us energy when we are playing, so we always look forward to playing on college campuses.” -Moore “The spirit of these big SEC schools is pretty amazing. I never got to be a part of that, so I am looking forward to it.” -Moore Moore played point guard for Wallace State’s basketball team and also played on its golf team in Hanceville, Ala., for two years and then transferred to Valdolsta State University on a golf scholarship. Kip Moore’s Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck Certified Platinum

Kip Moore’s Single “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck,” Which Was A Two-Week No. 1 Hit, Has Been Certified Platinum For Sales Of 1 Million Units. Kip Moore’s “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck” has been certified platinum! “I can’t wrap my head around platinum. I had a hard enough time wrapping my head around gold, so there’s no way I can wrap my head around platinum. It’s something that every writer and artist dreams to be a part of, something that is working like this.” -Moore “It was validation for me that I was smart to stick to my guns and believe in myself all those years when it looked like nothing was happening. So often I wanted to cash in my chips and say, ‘At least I played,’ but I kept grinding and kept writing and writing and writing and kept believing that at some point it was going to work. So it’s a grateful moment to me that I kept my faith.” Earlier this month, he released his new single, “Beer Money,” and he performed its national television debut on Conan on TBS on Tuesday, July 17. “Conan is so special for me because when my sister was in her car accident and in the hospital for seven months, Conan was one of the few people who could make her smile. She thinks he is so funny and so do I. I have always been such a fan of the show and him as a person. It’s definitely amazing to get to play on national TV with that many people watching, and I am so glad that this is the first late-night show I am playing.” Moore has been touring extensively, performing his own shows and joining Billy Currington and David Nail on the road. He will join Eric Church’s Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour in the fall. Entertainment Weekly recently named him one of five Music Summer Breakouts in its issue called “Your Summer Must List.” Here is the video from that performance!

Kip Moore New Single-Beer Money

Kip Moore Set To Release His New Single, “Beer Money.” Kip Moore is set to release his new single, “Beer Money,” July 9. This is the follow up to his very successful “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck,” which spent two weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart. He will be performing his hit tomorrow on NBC’s Today Show for their 4th of July episode. Moore had a hand in writing every song on Up All Night, including “Beer Money,” which he co-wrote with Blair Daly and Troy Verges. “Blair Daly said, ‘I’ve got this title ‘Beer Money,’ but I don’t know exactly what to do with it.’ We laughed and joked around about the idea. I know where I grew up in South Georgia, nobody had any money in high school. That is what the weekends were about: there was nowhere to go and there were no clubs, so it was all about who has the money to come up with the beer and where can we go.” -Moore. “It was the same thing in college: you are holding out spending money on food so that you’ve got enough money that weekend to go to the beer store and have a good time. I think that is the way small-town America still is everywhere.” -Moore continues. Take my advice, the song is great! To get a full review of his entire album by Miss Molly click here! Kip Moore Up All Night Album Review

There’s Somethin’ About Kip Moore’s Up All Night. On the third track of his debut album, Kip Moore tells us all about how “There’s Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck“, and I’m here to tell you there’s somethin’ ’bout Up All Night! I first heard Kip when I stumbled across his video for “Mary Was The Marrying Kind“, and I was instantly hooked. Now, if you want that single, you’ll have to get the deluxe version, but have no fear, there is plenty real, quality country to be had on the eleven tracks that make up this brand new album. From beginning, “Drive Me Crazy“, to end “Faith When I Fall“, country music fans will find in Kip Moore something that is both familiar and something that is unique. It seems frequent these days that we run across artists who just want to market themselves as country (throwing in some fiddle at the last minute or making sure they have a lyric about a creek or bonfire…) But these artists simply don’t have the authenticity to back it up. I don’t necessarily have a problem with that (as long as everyone is willing to recognize that’s what’s goin’ on), but when someone like Moore comes along, it makes those less than true artists pale in comparison. From his gravelly voice to his honest, well-written lyrics, you cannot help but be drawn into the stories he tells in each one of his songs. Besides being a talented singer, and songwriter (he co-wrote all of the tracks on this album!), Kip provides a sincerity in his delivery that gives his music a quality that is easy to relate to. Like when he sings “I guess I’ll always have this longing in my heart” on “Crazy One More Time“, you can almost feel it too. There is just heart felt sincerity in every note and every lyric! The music on this album keeps a pretty even keel, with some faster and some a little slower, but overall, it feels like one solid piece of work. Its the kind of thing you could put on no matter where you are, and it will always be a good idea. In that third track, Moore also lets us know that there’s somethin’ ’bout a kiss that’s gonna lead to more. I just hope the same applies to this album…keep the music comin’, Kip! If you’re curious about Kip be sure to head over to iTunes to check him out!
