LITTLE BIG TOWN MAKE HISTORY WITH SOLD OUT “LITTLE BIG TOWN AT THE MOTHER CHURCH” RYMAN RESIDENCY SHOWS First-Ever Year Long Artist Residency Launch At The Ryman Coincides With The Grammy Award- Winning Vocal Group’s New Album, The Breaker 10th “Little Big Town At The Mother Church” Show Added For July 30th Grammy Award-winning vocal group Little Big Town launched their unprecedented year-long artist residency, “Little Big Town at the Mother Church,” from Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium this weekend with back-to-back, sold-out shows on Friday and Saturday evening. The reigning CMA and ACM Vocal Group of the Year earned numerous standing ovations as they showcased their award-winning vocals during each nightly performance of their new album, The Breaker. The launch of “Little Big Town at the Mother Church” coincides with the world-wide release of Little Big Town’s seventh studio album, released February 24th, and marks the only time in the venue’s 125-year history to host a year-long artist residency. Band members Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, Kimberly Schlapman, and Jimi Westbrook’s took to the Ryman stage following support acts Brent Cobb (2/24) and Ashley Monroe (2/25) to debut their first, and only, live full-length album performances of The Breaker.  After opening the show with the album’s “optimistic standout” (Sounds Like Nashville) “Happy People,” the band went on to perform every track on their new album from top to bottom– including their current chart-topping #1 song at country radio, “Better Man”–before later trading off lead vocals for several songs including “Beat Up Bible,” “When Someone Stops Loving You,” and the album’s title track, “The Breaker.” The packed set list had the audience on their feet, singing along to every word of the band’s biggest hits, from “Pontoon” to “Girl Crush,” the thirteen week #1 Grammy-winning crossover hit that recently propelled Pain Killer to RIAA-Platinum-status, earning the group their third RIAA-Platinum album certification as a band. Each evening’s special surprise guest appearances–an expected staple of future “Little Big Town at the Mother Church” dates—solicited enormous audience applause as breakout Country artists Sam Hunt and Chris Stapleton (2/24) and powerhouse vocalist Andra Day (2/25) joined Little Big Town on stage. At the close of each show, in contrast, the band earned a different reaction—complete reverence in the form of uninterrupted silence- as the band launched into an unexpected, completely acoustic encore, sans mics, aimed at paying homage to early Ryman Auditorium performances. Saturday’s show also included an additional on-stage surprise, with the band’s announcement from the Ryman stage that a 10th “Little Big Town at the Mother Church” Ryman Residency date has been added for July 30th due to popular demand. Previously announced dates include May 19&20, July 28&29, September 15&16, and November 27th. Pre-sale tickets for the newly-announced date are available now through March 2nd at 10pm CT by visiting here: www.ticketmaster.com/event/1B005258D765823D. Written by Little Big Town and Pharrell Williams, “One Of Those Days” will be the first song from the group’s new album, Wanderlust, produced by Pharrell, available Friday, June 10. From Capitol Records Nashville, Wanderlust will feature eight brand new songs from the group and the mega producer. “Wanderlust is the result of an incredible friendship and chemistry we have with Pharrell Williams,” said Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild. ”What started out as one writing session a few months ago turned into multiple writing sessions, as well as back and forth trips from Nashville to Los Angeles. When the songs started coming together, we realized it was too special to not share with our fans. Pharrell loves country music and is a huge fan of harmony. That shared passion and appreciation took us on a creative journey we had no idea would happen. The music feels like our worlds have collided in the best possible way – his infectious grooves paired with our layered vocals and harmonies. This music is meant to be danced to, sung along with and turned up loud. It’s uplifting and hopeful. We’ve been a band for a long time and have had the pleasure of collaborating with so many people, and it’s been a complete joy to make music with Pharrell!” “We had a great time working together because we all love harmonies and that’s a really fun way to make a record,” Pharrell added. “A lot of the songs were based on what the group were going through at the time and creating good feelings around those experiences.” Grammy Award-winning country group, Little Big Town — consisting of members Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, Kimberly Schlapman, and Jimi Westbrook — first entered the music scene more than 18 years ago with hits such as “Boondocks,” “Bring It On Home,” “Good As Gone” and Grammy-nominated single “Little White Church.” With albums Tornado and Painkiller, they have seen massive success with #1 singles “Pontoon,” “Tornado,” “Day Drinking,” and most recently the history-making, best-selling country single of 2015, with “Girl Crush.” In October of 2014, the group fulfilled a career milestone and lifelong dream when Reba McIntire asked them to become the newest members of the Grand Ole Opry; two weeks later, they were inducted. Little Big Town has earned over 35 award show nominations and in the past five years has taken home nearly 20 awards, including multiple Grammy, CMA and ACM awards, and an Emmy award. Little Big Town At The Amp-Show Review

Little Big Town Brings The Tornado Tour To Northwest Arkansas. Last Friday The Amp kicked off their concert season with the ACM award winning Vocal Group of the Year, Little Big Town. The night was a little chilly, but that didn’t keep the fans away! David Nail opened the show and performed “Red Light,” “Let It Rain,” “Turning Home” and more. He even threw a Brooks and Dunn cover in there that really had the crowd going. Probably the most exciting part of Nail’s set was when he played “Whatever She’s Got.” Nail said this was his new single that should be hitting radio in the near future, so y’all be sure to keep your ears open for that one. Little Big Town basically blew me away with their performance. I had never seen a show with theatrics like I did Friday. It wasn’t too much, just on one song, but it was really, really awesome! The song was “Tornado” and they really made it seem like a tornado was brewing on that stage! There was lightening and wind and fake rain and Karen Fairchild looked amazing in her black, fringed jacket, almost like a pretty tornado herself! It was awesome. LBT of course sang “Pontoon” with the help of the crowd. Everyone was singing every word, wishing it was warm enough to be on a boat right that second. They opened with “Pavement Ends” and ended with “Boondocks.” The party never settled down in between, even during the slow songs like “Your Side of the Bed,” “Shut Up Train,” “Self Made,” “Can’t Go Back” and “Bring It on Home.” LBT told the crowd about their online videos they call “Scattered, Smothered & Covered.” They are videos of songs that are NOT country, but LBT puts their own touch on them (along with some upright bass and banjo) to make them country. That night they gave us Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” and let me tell you it was pretty freaking cool! They played my favorites “A Little More You” and “I’m With the Band,” then rocked The Amp crowd with a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain.” I’m telling you, these guys are the real deal. I have always liked Little Big Town, but I walked away from this show a true fan. To me, that’s what live shows are all about…bands entertaining the crowd and proving just how talented they are. You can check out our photos from the show on Facebook! Congrats to The Amp for a successful first show! Check in with them for more upcoming concerts, and be on the lookout for more acts to be added to this concert season right here in Northwest Arkansas!

The Amp Gears Up for 2013 Season featuring Little Big Town

The Arkansas Music Pavilion Gears Up for 2013 Concert Season with Little Big Town and More Filling the Schedule! Last year, CMNB got to take part in the really great line up of live concerts that the local Arkansas Music Pavilion rolled out for 2012 which featured Luke Bryan, Hank Williams Jr., Alan Jackson, Lauren Alaina, Miranda Lambert, Randy Houser, Brantley Gilbert and many more! So, it should come as no surprise that we are very, very excited about the upcoming 2013 Season for the Spring, Summer, and Fall. Right now, the schedule is still being finalized, but if last year is any indication at all, we are sure to have a fantastic series of live shows to enjoy! Already confirmed, Little Big Town will be kicking the year off with the first show on Friday, April 19th as part of their Tornado Tour. Also, just announced, Old Crow Medicine Show will be heading to The Amp on Saturday, May 4th! We can’t wait to hear which other acts will be confirmed over the next few weeks, and stay tuned for more details as they’re announced! See why CMNB thinks Northwest Arkansas is growing more and more into a country music and red dirt hot spot!

Little Big Town Get Second Number One with Tornado

Little Big Town Success Continues with Second Number One from Tornado Album! Since they’re fun summer time single “Pontoon” earned Little Big Town their first career number one hit single, this foursome has been on a roll! They swept the 2012 CMA Awards with wins for Single of the Year and Vocal Group of the Year, and have multiple nominations for the upcoming 2013 ACM Awards including Album of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year, Video of the Year, and Single Record of the Year. So, it should come as no surprise that LBT has earned their second #1 for the Tornado title track! What I love about these two number one hits is that together they demonstrate the range that Little Big Town features on Tornado. It is a complex and diverse album, and both these hits are well deserved. Additionally, the group recently sold-out their very first headlining show at the Ryman Auditorium adding to the 21 already sold out dates on their current 2013 Tornado Tour. You can find Little Big Town on the road again later this summer when they join Keith Urban‘s 2013 Tour with special guest Dustin Lynch.

Spring Is In The Air with Country Concerts on the Way

HaleighT Counting Down The Days ‘Til Outdoor Concerts Begin. Even though spring doesn’t officially start for a few more weeks, I can’t help but get excited! We had a couple days of beautiful weather this week around the CMNB headquarters, and I took full advantage of them. Yes, I’m talking windows down and radio up!
