Martina McBride’s album Eleven released October 11th, and she stopped by ABC’s Dancing With The Stars on Tuesday, October 25th to perform one of the singles off this album, “I’m Gonna Love You Through It“. This particular track of the album is especially important this month as it speaks to the struggle of fighting cancer, and the power and strength of love in this battle. Although these themes are continually relevant, as it is Breast Cancer Awareness month, they hold a special importance in this performance.

Martina McBride’s upcoming album, Eleven, drops this week! It will officially be available Tuesday, October 11th! This album features, as the title suggests, eleven brand new tracks, of which she wrote or co-wrote six including the lead single “Teenage Daughters“. A special version of the album featuring four bonus tracks will be available exclusively at Target! Stay tuned for a thorough review of Martina’s new album!

To promote the release of her new album, she is kicking-off a very creative promotional tour. Martina will be taking an Amtrak train all the way across the U.S. She will begin in Los Angeles, will make 11 stops, and will conclude in New York City where she will be joining the ceremony to light the Empire State Building pink on October 14th in honor of breast cancer awareness.

Martina will also be making a couple stops to perform on a couple television spots! On October 13th, she will be joining David Letterman on CBS, and on October 14th she will perform as part of ABC’s Good Morning America’s Fall Concert Series. Check local listings for exact times.

Martina McBride will be the next country star featured on CMT’s “Invitation Only“. The series features one artist per episode and includes that star’s performances of their all time hits as well as their newer music. Each episode also includes an informal question and answer sessions between the artists and fans. The episode is taped in Nashville with a small, live studio audience.

Martina will be the artist taking the stage in the upcoming episode, and she will be performing her hits like “This One’s for the Girls,” “Love’s the Only House” and “Wrong Baby Wrong” in addition to new singles “I’m Gonna Love You Through It” and “Teenage Daughters”. Her most recent singles are off of her album, Eleven, which will be released on October 11th.

Martina’s episode of “Invitation Only” will air Monday, October 17th at 10pm/11pm ET/PT on CMT.

In a recently taped performance for CMT Unplugged, Martina McBride covered Sara Bareilles‘ “Love Song“. McBride claims that the song is one of her favorites, and it is clear through the performance that she truly has a connection to this song. Despite not changing any of the instrumentals (i.e. there were no fiddles or banjos added), Martina really makes this song her own, and packs it full of emotion. I think she definitely does the song, which was Bareilles’ first Number 1 single, plenty of justice.

Martina McBride recently released “I’m Gonna Love You Through It“, the follow up to “Teenage Daughters“. The words to this song are powerful ones that speak of someone with cancer and the important role that their loved ones take on during the journey. There are many strong and courageous people who have to battle through the terrible disease every day, but if it weren’t for the husbands, fathers, wives, mothers, brothers, sisters, children, and friends to keep the faith it would be very difficult for many to go on with the fight.

The video is such an emotional one, having actual survivors sharing their stories with the world. I think that it was important to feature women who are in the spot light, Robin Roberts and Sheryl Crow, as well as everyday women…

Martina McBride’s new single “Teenage Daughters” released earlier this year, and now the video is available. The song realistically treats the trials of parenthood, and the video definitely adds an additional layer of meaning and substance to the song. It is not a stylized video instead opting for documentary-style footage featuring Martina working on the album in the studio as well as interactions with her family, especially, of course, her daughters. The choice to have her own family in the video as opposed to casting actors and setting up an imaginary scene really does promote the realistic this-is-every-day-living quality so appreciated by country fans. It truly seems this song is coming from a real place that viewers are sure to relate to.

Martina McBride’s new single “Teenage Daughter“, the first new music she has released since 2009, has hit country music air warves. The autobiographical song takes an interesting angle, speaking from the perspective of both father and mother, on parenting and coping with the inevitable changes that come as children grow up. The song is co-written by McBride and The Warren Brothers, and connects to those difficult teenage years when parents have to begin to let go.
