SUGARLAND’s highly anticipated sixth studio album, titled BIGGER, will be released on June 8 and is currently available for preorder on April 13. Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush co-wrote nearly all of the songs on the album, which was co-produced by Kristian, Jennifer, and Julian Raymond. The project’s lead single, “Still The Same,” is currently climbing the Country radio charts ahead of the duo’s spring-summer STILL THE SAME 2018 TOUR. After taking a hiatus to pursue a series of high profile solo projects, BIGGER is the duo’s first new music in seven years and the first project under their new joint venture with Big Machine Records and UMG Nashville. It will be available to pre-order at digital retailers as well as the title track, “Bigger,” available to download on April 13. As fans have come to expect from Sugarland, BIGGER embodies the musical spirit of the band: it contains tracks both uptempo and upbeat as well as powerful message songs that address specific issues facing the world. “Our hopefulness and our sparkiness and our joy is one of the things I think we do uniquely well, especially in the country format,” says Jennifer of the set’s sunnier material. “We offer that in a unique way.” The bold graphics of the recently unveiled album cover conjure up images of a circus tent, representative of both that fun side and some of the more enigmatic content on the project, which was written over and influenced by the course of the past six months. “This album has a whole bunch of mystery,” says Kristian, who has been enjoying peeling back the layers of the production and the nuanced songwriting. “I’m listening to it every two days just to see what’s in it. I have entire pints of blood in that thing, but I still don’t know where it all came from, and I love that.” Their STILL THE SAME 2018 TOUR kicks off May 25 and will visit 48 cities in the U.S. and Canada, but the duo has already delighted audiences in the U.K. with their new material, earning standing ovations during their performances at the C2C: Country to Country festival in March. Since the band’s inception in 2002, Sugarland has sold nearly 10 million albums domestically, earned seven No. 1 singles to date and amassed more than 260 million on-demand streams, making Sugarland one of the most popular Country music duos of all time. Lauded by Entertainment Weekly as one of the format’s “most successful and beloved acts,” both members of the duo say their time away from writing and recording together has only made them come back stronger and, yes, BIGGER. “We have always enjoyed playing in the margins and stretching the format,” says Jennifer. “But it’s fun to have taken this time away and seen how the format has expanded and how music has evolved. Before, we were playing in the margins. Now, the margins have moved, and that’s fun to hear.” “It’s not like we stopped creating Continue reading

With sweeping verses and an anthemic chorus, Sugarland certainly gave fans exactly what we were hoping for with their first release in over 5 years titled “Still The Same“. From Jennifer & Kristian: “We said new music by the end of the year and we meant it! We are thrilled to announce our new single, “Still The Same”, is available now. The title of the song is so meaningful to us. We always knew we were going to make music again, so this has been the best of both worlds. We were able to take time to feed our personal passions, and we’re excited to come back together and create music as a band again. We can’t wait for you to hear it!” Sugarland’s first LIVE show back together in five years will be next week when they be perform LIVE from Times Square on Dick’s Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31 at 8/7c on ABC.
Following their appearance together on “THE 51ST ANNUAL CMA AWARDS” and confirmation of a reunion, SUGARLAND‘s JENNIFER NETTLES and KRISTIAN BUSH will release new music in a joint venture between BIG MACHINE RECORDS and UMG NASHVILLE. SUGARLAND’s single, “Still The Same,” will be made available via ALL ACCESS DOWNLOADS and worldwide via all digital partners on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 21st. “We are thrilled for fans to hear our new music, especially this single,” said NETTLES. “The title of the song is so meaningful to us as we want fans to know, we are still the same, we are still the same SUGARLAND they’ve known and loved.” Added BUSH, “We want to finish where we left off. We always knew [we] were going to make music again, so this has been the best of both worlds. We were able to take time to feed our personal passions, and we’re excited to come back together to create music as a band again.” SUGARLAND is also back in the studio working on their new album and mapping out tour dates for 2018.
After much speculation the rumors of a Sugarland reunion are getting stronger and stronger every day. According to sources close to the pair, Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland are reportedly working with Scott Borchetta of Big Machine Records to put together and record new music, as well as plan a live tour. This would mark a MAJOR comeback since the award-winning duo cooled their jets after the arrival of Jennifer’s son. Each of the two took some time to develop their individual careers with solo albums, collaborations with other artists, and even musical production credits, but it would seem that when it comes to touring, nothing compares to the chemistry and pure love emanating from the Sugarland stage!
Sugarland’s Kristian Bush Has Sold Out His Two Solo Thanksgiving Shows In Georgia. Kristian Bush, one half of country music super-duo Sugarland, sold out his two solo Thanksgiving shows at Eddie’s Attic in Decatur, GA so quickly that for the first time, he is adding an encore performance on Monday, Nov. 26. “I’ve been a songwriter my entire life, and Eddie’s is the club where I got my start, so I’m happy to keep on playing for as long as people want to listen. I’m thrilled so many fans want to ring in their holiday season with this show that means so much to me.” -Bush Bush is also announcing his special guests Ellis Paul and Mercury Records newcomer Canaan Smith. Sugarland Gets Back On The Road with “In the Hands of the Fans” Tour for 2012! I had heard on the country music grapevine that Sugarland‘s Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush were going to be laying low tour wise for most of 2012, but it looks like the grapevine was (thankfully) wrong. The duo will be heading back out on the road starting April 5th through August 18th(so far!) for their “In the Hands of the Fans” Tour. You might be wondering about the tour’s title, and you should be! Nettles and Bush are letting the fans take-over each concert’s set list by requesting songs however they can (Twitter, Facebook, text, handwritten signs, anything goes)! As long as the tune you want to hear is off their albums or something they’ve performed before at another concert, they’ll take your requests. How cool is that? Click here to sign up for updates, and be sure to check the complete list of tour dates below. Sugarland will be joined on tour in select cities by Lauren Alaina and Canaan Smith.
