Sugarland’s In the Hands of the Fans Tour 2012

Sugarland Gets Back On The Road with “In the Hands of the Fans” Tour for 2012! I had heard on the country music grapevine that Sugarland‘s Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush were going to be laying low tour wise for most of 2012, but it looks like the grapevine was (thankfully) wrong. The duo will be heading back out on the road starting April 5th through August 18th(so far!) for their “In the Hands of the Fans” Tour. You might be wondering about the tour’s title, and you should be! Nettles and Bush are letting the fans take-over each concert’s set list by requesting songs however they can (Twitter, Facebook, text, handwritten signs, anything goes)! As long as the tune you want to hear is off their albums or something they’ve performed before at another concert, they’ll take your requests. How cool is that? Click here to sign up for updates, and be sure to check the complete list of tour dates below. Sugarland will be joined on tour in select cities by Lauren Alaina and Canaan Smith.

Sugarland Run Video

Check Out The Video for Sugarland’s “Run”. I don’t know if you had a chance to catch the live performance of Sugarland‘s “Run” featuring Matt Nathanson at last year’s CMA Awards…but if you didn’t, you missed out. It was one of the best performances of the night. Well, it was one of my favorites at least! There is just something about the lyrics in this song and the way Jennifer Nettles and Nathanson perform this duet together that is absolutely irresistible! In case you did miss the CMA performance, or you haven’t had the opportunity to catch Sugarland live, they have released the video for “Run” for fans to enjoy! It features live concert footage which I think helps emphasize the rawness of the song. Watch it below, and let us know what you think! Sugarland’s “Run” featuring Matt Nathanson. Jennifer Nettles Pepsi Superbowl Commercial

Jennifer Nettles Voice Makes Special Appearance In PepsiMax Superbowl Ad. Among the many exciting and entertaining aspects of Sunday night’s Superbowl media extravaganza, there is one that might have passed you by unnoticed. Jennifer Nettles‘ voice actually makes a cameo appearance in the commercial for PepsiCo‘s low-cal beverage Pepsi Max. Her croonings can be heard over the loud speaker of an average supermarket while an average looking guy chooses his beverage of choice…yeah, PepsiMax. It’s a low-key non-visual appearance, but it’s amusing all the same. Did you notice Nettles’ voice? Check Out Jennifer Nettles Vocal Cameo Here! [youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7USr2kriO8]

Sugarland Every Girl Like Me…In a Taxi

Sugarland Performs Acoustic Version of Every Girl Like Me In London Taxi. Sugarland is definitely not your average country duo, and its always fun to see what hijinks these two are getting up two. They have recently released a video of an acoustic version of “Every Girl Like Me” that, here’s the fun part, they taped while riding around in a London taxi cab last February. It’s definitely an interesting idea, and way cheaper than what an average music video would cost, so maybe these two are onto something! Check out the video, and let us know what you think. 5 Reported Dead in Sugarland Stage Collapse

A severe storm brings down the stage at the Indiana State Fairgrounds just moments before Sugarland was set to perform, killing a reported 5 victims and injuring dozens more. Our hearts go out to the family and friends of those lost loved ones during last night’s horrific stage collapse at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. It is reported that five were killed and at least 40 injured as severe weather caused the stage rigging to become unstable and fall to the ground with very little warning. Sugarland has predictably cancelled tonight’s performance, and there is no word yet on rescheduling the concert as all parties involved are in deep sorrow over last nights events.
