Toby Keith offered up his ode to the red solo cup to country music fans, and they drank it right up! Then Glee picked it up, and created their own version of the song. Now, there is a third version of this exuberant, silly song…just for Christmas. This really is turning out to be quite a versatile tune. Take a look and let us know what you think!

Well, we told you a couple weeks ago that the popular teen musical dramedy, Glee, had picked up Toby Keith’s new single “Red Solo Cup” to feature in an upcoming episode. As a Glee fan (and clearly a country music fan), I was definitely intrigued. The Glee-ified rendition of Keith’s light-hearted tune is amusing, but I don’t know if it does the song justice. I am not suggesting that Toby’s new song is on its way to becoming a country classic, and I don’t think he even intended for it to be. Its clearly a fun, goof-off song, and I don’t think the Glee version is really all that fun. So, I’m a little let down. As usual though, no need to take my word for it. There has been a rumor floating around for a couple of weeks now that Toby Keith’s humorous single, “Red Solo Cup” might make its way onto Fox’s musical teen dramedy, “Glee“, and these rumors are now confirmed! Keith’s silly salute will make an appearance on the Tuesday, December 6th episode of the show.

For those of you who are fans of Glee already, this will no doubt be a Gleek high point. For those of you who are not fans of yet…it might take a little more to get you excited about a cast of teenagers offer their rendition of the song. Maybe Toby Keith will make an appearance! Who knows?

Glee airs on the Fox Network on Tuesdays at 7pm CT.

Toby Keith has hit the road to promote the release of his new album, Clancy’s Tavern! From Fox to the Wendy Williams Show, Toby is covering a lot of ground and talking to just about everyone about his new album. Toby Keith’s latest album, Clancy’s Tavern, is now available! I have only heard bits and pieces so far, but the little I did hear sounded pretty awesome! We all have heard “Made In America” and “Red Solo Cup“, his first and second singles from this album, and have not been disappointed. Even though the catchy tune about the plastic drink container is fairly new, I’m already giddy to find out the next single! I just love this time of year, so many new albums to fall in love with!!!!!

Toby Keith has released the video for his track, “Red Solo Cup“. This extremely silly song is an ode to the always helpful party drink receptacle, THE red solo cup. The video follows Keith around at a party as he points out the positives and negatives of the red solo cup as he demonstrates his obviously close relationship and bond with this plastic cup. He even points out why the red solo cup is preferable to the less popular blue and yellow solo cups!

I think my favorite part of the video might be the cameos, especially that of Princess Leia. That’s right, I said Princess Leia. Guess you’re just going to have to watch the video to see what in the world I’m talking about. Enjoy (I know you will.)

Toby Keith is known for his rocking, patriotic tunes and his latest single keeps that familiarity rolling. We first saw “Made In America” on the CMT Awards in June and have been singing along since. Although some might say previous songs like “American Ride” and “Courtesy Of The Red White And Blue” were too brash (I disagree), “Made In America” takes a different turn. It is a song about a man who just seems to have a lot of American pride, and I find nothing wrong with that. The single is now available on iTunes and we hope to see an entire album very soon.

The 2011 CMT Music Awards are almost upon us, and Toby Keith has announced the award show will feature the world premier performance of his latest single “Made In America“. This song is the most recent music from Toby since his Bullets In the Gun album, and clearly showcases his patriotic pride!

Keith is currently nominated in the Male Video of the Year category for the title single “Bullets In The Gun” off of the aforementioned album.

The CMT Music Awards air live out of Nashville on Wednesday, June 8th (That’s tomorrow!) at 7pm CT. The show will be available on CMT and cmt.com. If you can’t catch it, have no fear! We will be sure to fill you in on all the shenanigans and excitement!

Country music star and entrepreneur Toby Keith is showing his love for the flavors of Mexico by introducing a new drink named “Wild Shot“. The drink is a tie-in to lyrics on his album released last year, “Bullets in the Gun“.The beverage, until now only available in Mexico, is made with the traditional Mezcal, similar to Tequila, but with a smokier more complex flavor. “Wild Shot” will be available in stores this Spring, and will also be featured in Toby Keith’s chain of venues, “I Love This Bar & Grill“.
