Vince Gill Guitar Slinger Album Review

Can Vince Gill Do Any Wrong? Not On Guitar Slinger! Vince Gill’s first studio album in 5 years, Guitar Slinger, was released Monday, October 25. I would say this album is classic Vince Gill. It has upbeat, happy, comical, songs and heartfelt, soulful, real issue songs. It definitely has some great music set along to all of the beautifully written lyrics. Gill has this was of taking something and almost making it untouchable. I have said it before, and I’ll say it again…the man has a voice like no other! I could see this album not being as popular with the younger crowd, but by no means do I think that is a reflection of this bundle of work! I was very pleased and found “Tell Me Fool“, “Guitar Slinger“, “One More Thing I Wish I’d Said“, and “When the Lady Sings the Blues” to be quite catchy! His current single, “Threaten Me With Heaven“, is climbing the charts as we speak. Be listening for it on your local radio stations! Track Listing 1. Guitar Slinger 2. Tell Me Fool 3. Threaten Me with Heaven 4. When the Lady Sings the Blues 5. Who Wouldn’t Fall In Love with You 6. When Lonely Comes Around 7. True Love (feat. Amy Grant) 8. Bread and Water 9. Billy Paul 10. The Old Lucky Diamond Motel 11. If I Die 12. Buttermilk John (feat. The Time Jumpers) The deluxe version includes 3 extra songs: “All Nighter Comin’”, “Lipstick Everywhere”, and “One More Thing I’d Wished I’d Say.”

Vince Gill The Heart Won’t Lie

Vince Gill And Reba McEntire’s The Heart Won’t Lie Music Video! Here is another Vince Gill classic, his duet with Reba McEntire, “The Heart Won’t Lie.” Again, this is a FAVORITE of mine and one of the best examples of 90s music videos! They were more like mini-movies than just something to view while listening. I can literally remember sitting at my grandma’s house when I was younger watching with my cousins, and this was always one where we would scream at each other to be quite! I hope you will enjoy this as much as I ALWAYS do!

Vince Gill I Still Believe In You

The Music Video For Vince Gill’s Classic, “I Still Believe In You!” I have always been a fan of Vince Gill and I am so very, very happy to see he has a brand new studio album out! Although I am certain Guitar Slinger will provides us with some future hits, some things will never change. “I Still Believe In You” is ONE of my many favorites that Gill has created in his lifetime! This Oklahoma native has a voice that has touched the souls of millions of people, and it is a voice that can be compared to by none!!! And it has to be said….Vince, I still believe in you! Here is the video for that touching ballad!!!

The newest episode of CMT: Crossroads two of the music industries veteran talents, Vince Gill and Sting will be teaming up for what is sure to be an unforgettable collaboration. The CMT Crossroads team is heading to NYC (after not having taped there for over five years) for this particular episode, and will tape the segment in front of an invitation-only crowd. “We are long overdue for a CMT CROSSROADS taping in New York City. Some of our best shows ever were taped there, and this will be no exception. These are two Hall of Famers who, by our count, have 36 Grammys between them…This is going to be an unforgettable evening.” -John Hamlin, SVP, Music Events and Talent, CMT Both of the artists are hugely popular, and rightly so, as they are both extremely talented in their own right. It is such an interesting and unexpected pairing. The episode will air in November, so be sure to be on the look out for specific dates and times!

Vince Gill Gets Star On Walk of Fame

Vince Gill Honored with Star On the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Vince Gill is joining his wife, Amy Grant, on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! Grant received her star in 2006, and in 2012 Vince will be honored with a star of his own. I’m pretty sure their stars won’t be positioned next to one another, but a star is a star! Other 2012 Hollywood Walk of Famers include actors Jennifer Aniston, Richard Burton, Kate Winslet, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Lopez and Adam West, music legends Barry White, Hal David, David Foster and the band Heart and cartoonist Matt Groening. Gill once lived in Los Angeles when he was still a youngster and not yet so accomplished. Yet, he never thought the day would come when he would be honored in such a way. “When I lived out there, I was such a young person…So even the thought of one day having a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was preposterous. It was silly. It wasn’t even in the realm of my thinking. I walked up and down Hollywood Boulevard and said, ‘There is so-and-so.’ I never thought for one second, ‘I will have one of these one day.” -Vince Gill Vince adds this honor into the Hollywood Walk of Fame to his list of noteworthy inductions which includes the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Vince Gill Releases Guitar Slinger New Album

Vince Gill Releases New Single and New Album. It has been four years since Vince Gill released new music, and later this summer he will releasing his first single off his upcoming album, Guitar Slinger. The album is due out in the Fall, and features a wide variety of songs and themes from dark and serious to more upbeat and hopeful. “I feel like the emphasis has been on the songs and the songs have gotten better. They really run the gamut of what they are about, how they feel, how they sound. It’s not an all-traditional record, it’s not an all-contemporary record; it’s all over the map, like I kind of have always been. But it doesn’t feel out of step with anything I’ve done previously.” -Vince Gill Fans can look forward to hearing the first single off the album, “Threaten Me With Heaven”, co-written by his wife, Amy Grant, Dillon O’Brian and Will Owsley, when it is released later this summer. Since the writing of the song, tragedy has given a deeper meaning toits lyrics and theme. “Since the song was recorded, my friend Will Owsley took his own life, so the song has a profound impact on me now. It’s a powerful, powerful song. I feel like it’s the crown jewel of the new record.” -Vince Gill Also of note, the album features appearances by Amy Grant as well as their three daughters, Jenny, Sarah and Corrina. So, be sure to keep an ear out for release dates.
