Congrats are in order for Wynonna Judd! She and boyfriend, Cactus Moser got engaged over the Christmas holiday! The couple have been dating since 2009, and tour together as Wynonna and the Big Noise.

This will be Wynonna’s third marriage and comes on the heels of a remarkable turn around by the iconic artist after going through some tumultuous life events including surviving a head-on collision. We most recently got to see Wynonna on the OWN network series The Judds with her mother, Naomi. The two released a compilation album this past Spring, I Will Stand By You: The Essential Collection, and Wynonna released her brand new single, “Love It Out Loud“. So, its been a busy year for this always on the go gal, and she’s ending it on what is definitely a positive note.

Congrats Wynonna and Cactus, and best of luck in 2012!

Wynonna Judd, will be performing at the 29th Annual Independence Day Concert on July 1st in Warner Robins, Georgia. Judd will be joined by host Robin Meade who anchors the CNN Headline News morning show and the U.S. Air Force Reserve Band.

This is a free show, and it is intended as a demonstration of thanks by the Air Force Reserve to the 1.1 million deployed service members and their families,as well as the surrounding communities. They wish to show their gratitude for the overwhelming military support shown throughout the mid-Georgia region and across the nation.

The concert will start at 8 p.m. with the singing of the National Anthem and an F-15 fighter jet fly over at McConnell-Talbert Stadium and will conclude with a celebratory fireworks show.

This performance marks this celebrations 29th year, and it is a hugely popular event expected to draw in up to 30,000 attendees.

Although the show is taking place on July 1st, it will be taped and broadcast on the American Forces Network on July 4th.

Wynonna finds yet another way to connect with her fans with the highly anticipated release of Restless Heart on Tuesday, January 25th. Wynonna has a full media tour scheduled to help promote the book on major networks and airwaves.

Wynonna joined Kenny Rogers and John Rich at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa to salute the men and women who have been injured in the line of duty. This past weekend celebration was to commemorate the Grand Opening of the world’s largest JW Marriott Resort. Over 25 injured men and women along with their families attended the celebration.

Proceeds from the weekend will be donated to the national Fisher House Foundation, Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum and The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.Country Music Photo Gallery

The former teaching assistant facing federal child pornography charges was home-schooling the children of a country music superstar.

Scott Myers had been hired to home-school the children of Wynonna Judd. He was fired immediately after she learned about the charges. He’d worked as a teacher’s assistant and even a kids’ camp counselor. The whole time, he flew below the radar of more than one TBI background check. More on News Channel 5

Wynonna comes from the school of thought that says if you want something bad enough, you need to work hard for it. So when asked about American Idol, she urges kids to build their talent, and their circle of support first:

“A lot of these people don’t have experience and they’re not ready,” she continued. “When they’re successful, they’re like ‘Oh, crap, what do I do now?’ So they hire a bunch of people who cost them everything. So develop it now, start getting a work ethic, schedule your priorities. Focus, focus, focus on what it is you really wanna do.” read more…

It’s been a while since we’ve heard much from Wynonna Judd, but it’s been well worth the wait for long-time fans. Wynonna has released a preview of her new album “Sing: Chapter 1″for fans to listen to and enjoy. The album of standards that pay homage to her past is set to release nationwide on February 3rd, and I can’t wait! You can always depend on Wynonna to give a heartfelt performance of raw vocals, and soulful emotion in every song. My personal favorites on the new album are “Till I get it Right” and the original title track “Sing”. Really, the entire album completely embodies the all-consuming compulsion that a true singer has to just lay it all out on the table for the world to listen to just because it feels damned good to do so.

During the last year I have started gravitating toward the past,” says Wynonna about the making of this record. “I have such an incredible history of these songs being played in the background while I’m living my life. So the whole album is a real cross-section of all the different genres I grew up with. It’s all me, its all part of the tapestry of who I am.

Faith Hill tops this year’s new Country Christmas classics. Although new Country Christmas albums aren’t running rampant this year, new holiday titles from Faith Hill, Elvis Presley and Julianne Hough have managed to find room in the Top 10 of the current Billboard country albums chart. Country Radio has been giving “A Baby Changes Everything” massive amounts of radio airplay, while the Elvis Duets album has gotten nationwide news coverage.

Just in time for the holidays, Joey+Rory created a “Sleighbell Mix” of their song “Cheater Cheater” and posted it on MySpace.

Two of country’s top acts — Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood — have each released new holiday music this year, but you have to buy expanded versions of their current albums to get it.

Wynonna is on the West Coast this month, in the midst of her Classic Christmas tour. In this interview with the Santa Rosa (Calif.) Press Democrat, the singer talks about overspending during the holidays, what to expect from her upcoming album and the year she gave her mother a hammer for Christmas. (”I’m not even sure why.
