Miranda Lambert And Kelly Clarkson On The Voice

Miranda Lambert And Kelly Clarkson Lend A Helping Hand To Team Blake! Last night was the first night of the “Battle Rounds” on NBC‘s hit show, The Voice! During this time the coaches of each team pair up two members to “battle” each other for one spot closer to the finale. Blake Shelton, CMNB’s favorite coach, got the help of two very talented female artists to mentor his team. Miranda Lambert, country super-star and wife of Shelton, and Kelly Clarkson, vocal powerhouse and friend of Shelton were the perfect artists to share some advice! This week Lambert helped hopefuls RaeLynn and Jordis, while Clarkson worked with Adley and Brian. Both of these successful, Texas women had encouraging and helpful word to share, but when it came to RaeLynn and “Free Fallin’” Lambert said, “It’s not about competing with someone, it’s about competing with yourself!” The wise words must have worked because the 17-year-old RaeLynn won the battle over Adley. The second battle for Team Blake didn’t go so smooth. During rehearsals, Jordis asked the question of what she could do to win, Shelton answered, “Whichever one of ya’ just flat-out-sings the other person will win.” Well….Christina Aguilera said that the performance was pitchy and Shelton agreed! He actually said “it sucked,” and I have to say he gave a pretty accurate description. The song was “Ironic” by Alanis Morissette (a mentor for Team Adam) and both Jordis and Brian seemed to have a little trouble with it. In the end Jordis won the fight and made it one round closer to the prize. The other mentors for the night were Alanis Morissette and Robin Thicke for Adam Levine’s team, Babyface and Ne-Yo for Cee Lo Green’s team and Lionel Richie and Jewel (another of my favorites) for Team Christina! Each coach had to eliminate one member from their team during the battle rounds, which means the competetion is slowly getting tougher! Keep watching The Voice on Mondays at 8/7c on NBC!

The Voice Recap Of The First Two Episodes

With Only Two Episodes In Of The 2nd Season, We Have Already Heard Some Stars! So if you didn’t know (you must be under a rock), the season premier of The Voice was Sunday after the Super Bowl. For the second season we are taking a journey with coaches Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green to find “the voice” that will take America by storm. It is obvious that everyone in the CMNB office is pulling for Team Blake, but any coach that gives us a country star will be just fine with us too! This year instead of teams of 8, the coaches will get to pick initial teams of 12! So far Team Christina has four of her spots taken with Chris Mann, Jesse Campbell, Lindsey Pavao and The Line (a duet). Team Adam has three spots filled with Angel Taylor, Kim Yarbrough and Tony Lucca. Cee Lo also has three team members, Angie Johnson, Jamar Rogers and Juliet Simms. Most importantly, Team Blake has three artists in the running! Gwen Sebastian, Jermaine Paul and RaeLynn have got to be excited to be on the funniest guys team right?! Next Monday, February 13, the “Blind Auditions” will continue! Don’t forget to tune into NBC at 8/7c to watch all of the comedy from the coaches and talent from the hopefuls unfold!

The Voice Superbowl Commerical

Blake Shelton and The Voice Mentors Get Funny for Superbowl Ad. It’s no secret that over the past few years, the Superbowl and its media extravaganza has become just as much about the ads that air during its prime airtime as it is about the actual game. NBC’s The Voice producers clearly weren’t about to miss out on this year’s golden opportunity to steal a little more limelight for the upcoming season of their hit series! Blake Shelton (clearly, our favorite mentor!), Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera are back and kicking the season off right with a funny and action packed trailer for the season (with a special guest…). Check it out below, and make sure you catch up on last night’s season premiere if you haven’t already! 2012 The Voice Superbowl Ad

The Voice Summer Tour

The Voice Top 8 Finalists Go On Tour! As we all have heard, The Voice top 8 finalists will be hitting the road for a summer tour! The platoon of performers will include Beverly McClellan, Vicci Martinez, Dia Frampton, Javier Colon, Xenia, Frenchie Davis, Casey Weston, and Nakia. Sadly, the four amazing coaches of the show, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, and Cee Lo Green, will not be roadtrpping with their pro’te’ge. Many sources said that the four had declined over compensation, but had they not the tour, more than likely, would have been larger and longer. The Sprint-sponsored Live Nation tour is hitting some pretty popular venues and I’m sure this has the talent excited! Tour Dates: July 27th – Gibson Amphitheater (Los Angeles, CA) July 30th – MGM Grand Garden Arena (Las Vegas, NV) August 2nd – Rosemont Theatre (Chicago, IL) August 4th – Bank of America Pavilion (Boston, MA) August 5th – Toyota Presents Oakdale Theatre (Wallingford, CT) August 6th – Beacon Theatre (New York, NY)

The Voice Season 1 Winner

Javier Colon Wins Season 1 Of The Voice! All four of the finalists did an AMAZING job tonight! Voting was complete earlier today so the pressure was off and it was time to have a good time! As they all had their duets with some of their idols you could see pure happiness on all of their faces. It was actually quite touching to see them giving it their all on stage, not for votes, but for themselves. Dia Frampton, Beverly McClellon, Vicci Martinez, and Javier Colon should all be extremely proud of themselves, along with their coaches, families, and friends! Based on iTunes alone, it is evident they will all have huge fan followings! So congratulations to all of you! The biggest congrats goes to Javier Colon for being the first-ever winner of The Voice! I have to say my favorite part of the night was after a spectacular performance by Miranda Lambert and Dia (his two favorite girls), Blake Shelton got deep. He said this girl that he has known for a short while is now family in his book and that he can honestly say he loves her! Really?! You got to love this man! He is a humble, down to earth, family guy who I (along with the rest of the world) can’t get enough of! Again congratulations to everyone! I’m already looking forward to season two!

The Voice Final Performances

The Voice Final Performance Episode Full Of Excitement! Tonight was the last chance for contestants to show us what they got and boy did they ever! The night started off strong with all four coaches, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, and Christina Aguilera coming together for their version of “Under Pressure“, it was very energetic and I loved it! The contestants had to perform an original song, which was meant to be the performance fans are to base their vote on. Javier Colon was the first to show us his, “Stitch By Stitch“. His coach, Levine, was almost brought to tears as he praised Colon on not only his performance and talent, but for the fact that he was such a great guy and new friend. Vicci Martinez was next with “Afraid To Sleep” and like always she owned the stage with her powerful presence. Next, my favorite, Dia Frampton gave us a very humble performance (as always) as she sang “Inventing Shadows“. The other coaches tried to give her a hard time about her “mimes” and “distractions”, but protective coach Shelton soon came to her rescue with his quick wit, stating they were going to be “distracted by all the iTunes domination” they were about to see. The final original song performance was Beverly McClellan with “Love Sick“. Her coach, Aguilera, made emphasis on the fact that Beverly had some of the best work ethic she has seen and Shelton also had some thoughts on her performance… “If music was crack you’d have a serious problem…yes, I said crack!” Along with original songs, all contestants sang a duet with their coach and first to do so was Dia and Blake where they proceeded to literally rock it! From the coordinating outfits and shades to their moves with guitars, these two definitely did Tom Petty proud and aren’t looking to “back down” anytime soon! Beverly and Christina slowed things down with “Beautiful“, Aguilera’s original song that had special meaning to the two. Javier and Adam also were one of my favorite performances of the night with Michael Jackson‘s “Man In The Mirror“. Their performance was simple and fantastic! Last, but so dramatically not least was Vicci and Cee Lo, with “Love Is A Battlefield“. They were in it to win, from their outfits to the children dancers they had joining them on stage, it was interesting…but I do love that song. The night also had a few guest performances, maybe to take the pressure off a little, maybe to bring in viewers, but either way it was a smart decision. Pitbull and Ne-Yo were first, but the better of the two was obviously country super star Brad Paisley! He sang “Don’t Drink The Water” featuring Shelton from his latest album This Is Country Music. It was awesome! I loved the song, I loved the fact that Shelton joined in the middle like it was no big deal, I loved the emphasis on the fiddle and steel guitar, I Continue reading
