Guthrie Family Reunion Celebrates Woody Guthrie’s 100th Birthday.
Folk icon Arlo Guthrie will be hitting the road along with three generations of Guthries for a very special tour, “Guthrie Family Reunion“, celebrating the 100th birthday of Woody Guthrie (July 14th, 1912). The tour will travel through select markets in North America during July and August 2012. Tour dates will include music festivals like the Green River Festival, Newport Folk Festival, Edmonton Folk Festival and more plus other select venues. See below for a complete list.
The tour will include performances of Woody Guthrie’s songs in addition to Arlo’s songs and some original music written by various members of the Guthrie family. This really is a musical family reunion!
