I've begun to ask myself exactly what the CMA considers "real" country music, and the musicians behind that music? The reason I've pondered this question is for one artist that almost always 'never' seems to make her rounds with the "well-known" country music crowd, but seems to do 'just o.k.' if she's 'out-side' of that boundry (Not whining, just telling it like I see it, and I'm sure I'm not the only one).

I guess most people in the country music world, don't consider her music ("she's too pop sounding" or "she's more a black rhythm and blues lady, and really doesn't fit in with our kind", being said over and over again.) "authentic" country music, but more like 'wanna-be' country gal? What a terrible shame this is for a woman who's so very very talented, but perhaps will never be 'realized' for the true talent that she really is.

My prayers are with you Rissi that perhaps sometime in the future, you WILL be recognized for your love of country music, and the joy that it's given to those of us who love listening to it. God be with you.
