Kenny Chesney Discusses The Boys of Fall

Written by: WhiskeyChick On July - 29 - 2010

Kenny Chesney has a few words to say about his latest song, The Boys of Fall.

“I’ve been very lucky to have a lot of songs do well” says Kenny Chesney. “And to have a lot of songs touch a lot of people, but I don’t know if I’ve had a song like ‘Boys of Fall,’ ever. When I first heard this song, I knew that there was gonna be a lot of people that heard the lyrics to this song and really be able, not just to relate to it, but they live with it because there are so many lessons that, in life, that you learn on the football field that are very parallel with what happens in everyday life.”

Well, if you’re in a small town like us here at CMNB, then it’s easy to see why Kenny’s newest release touches the heart of so many. In these small towns football is a religion and the boys who play are our pastors. Some of these kids most important, life-defining moments will happen on those 100 yards of green.

Kenny, Good job on the song. Now get out and tour with it already! <3

Blake Shelton and The Voice Mentors Get Funny for Superbowl Ad.

It’s no secret that over the past few years, the Superbowl and its media extravaganza has become just as much about the ads that air during its prime airtime as it is about the actual game. NBC’s The Voice producers clearly weren’t about to miss out on this year’s golden opportunity to steal a little more limelight for the upcoming season of their hit series!

Blake Shelton (clearly, our favorite mentor!), Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera are back and kicking the season off right with a funny and action packed trailer for the season (with a special guest…). Check it out below, and make sure you catch up on last night’s season premiere if you haven’t already!
