All Leading Up to His Return to “American Idol” for the Final Episode This Thursday

scotty-mccreery1NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (April 4, 2016) – ACM and CMT Award winner Scotty McCreery will return to the show that introduced him to the world this Thursday, April 7, when he appears on the final episode of FOX’s “American Idol.” The multi-Platinum-selling country music artist will join many of his fellow “Idol” champions and finalists to say a fond goodbye to the iconic television ser ies.

Leading up to that night, McCreery will appear on “Access Hollywood Live” on Tuesday, April 5; “Hollywood Today Live” on Wednesday, April 6; and “Good Day LA” on April 7. The singer/songwriter, whom the readers of The Los Angeles Times named the “Best American Idol,” will share some of his favorite “Idol” memories as well as discuss his upcoming book, Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream, which will be in stores May 3 and is currently available for pre-order at BarnesAndNoble.com and Amazon.com.

McCreery burst onto the national music scene in 2011 at age 17 as the winner of “American Idol” Season 10, quickly establishing himself as one of country music’s hottest new stars. Now 22 years old, he has sold nearly 3 million albums. He made history as both the youngest artist an d the first male country artist to debut his first studio album atop the all-genre Billboard Top 200 chart with his Platinum-certified album Clear as Day. All three of his albums have debuted at No. 1 on a Billboard chart including the Gold-certified Christmas with Scotty McCreery and his most recent album, See You Tonight. He has achieved one Gold (the Top Ten hit “Feelin’ It”) and three Platinum-certified singles (“The Trouble with Girls,” “I Love You This Big,” and the Top Ten hit “See You Tonight”) and toured with Brad Paisley and Rascal Flatts, among other artists.
