Patti Page Passes At Her Home In California at the Age of 85. Patti Page, the best selling female artist of the 1950’s and singer of 111 chart hits, passed away in her Encinitas, California home on January 1st, 2013 at the age of 85. One of her hits includes the legendary “Tennessee Waltz” that has been covered over the years by iconic figures including Ella Fitzgerald, Emmylou Harries, Elvis Presley and The Chieftains & Tom Jones. Page’s accolades include being the recipient of the Academy of Country Music’s Pioneer Award, having a star on the Country Music Walk of Fame, earning the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame’s Living Legend Award and being honored with the Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award (which she a was to accept this coming February).
